All non-emergency flights in and out of Darwin have been suspended. Flights heading through northern Australia to overseas destinations are being re-routed.
The volcanic eruption of Mount Sangeang Api in Indonesia yesterday afternoon has resulted in a volcanic ash plume that has affected airline operations in Darwin this morning.
