South-east Queensland weather may cause delays and diversions

25 Jan 2012

Tropical weather in south-east Queensland has caused disruptions to flights today.

Brisbane and Gold Coast airports are expected to be most impacted by constant heavy rain, isolated storms and reduced visibility.

Flights arriving and departing from other airports may also experience some disruption due to flow-on effects within the national air traffic network.

Passengers are advised to contact their airline for up-to-date flight information.

Airservices National Operations Centre is monitoring the situation and will work with air traffic controllers nationally to manage any disruptions.
