Airservices aviation rescue fire fighting staff will be supporting young people living with cancer by collecting donations during National Bandanna Day on Friday 31 October.
National Bandanna Day, one of Airservices three staff-nominated charities, is CanTeen’s biggest annual fundraiser to support young people aged 12-24 who are living with cancer. Last year Airservices matched all of its collected donations and gave CanTeen more than $34 000.
This year aviation fire fighters in Launceston, Karratha, Perth and Sydney will again be doing their best to make a difference for CanTeen.
Details of their fundraising activities include:
Karratha: Aviation fire fighters will be selling CanTeen merchandise at Karratha Airport terminal hroughout the day.
Launceston: Aviation fire fighters will be selling CanTeen merchandise at the Launceston Airport terminal throughout the day.
Perth: Aviation fire fighters will be selling CanTeen merchandise from 9am–4pm at Forrest Place in the CBD. They will have a Mk8 Panther ultra-large fire vehicle on display.
Sydney: a Mk8 Panther ultra-large fire vehicle will be on display in Martin Place in the CBD with aviation fire fighters selling CanTeen merchandise from 7am–2pm.
Airservices encourages everyone to dig deep and make a donation to support such a worthy cause.
