Fog causing delays and diversions at Melbourne Airport
13-10-2010 -Fog and low cloud in Melbourne this morning is causing some disruption to arriving and departing flights.
Several incoming international and domestic flights have been diverted to other airports including Adelaide and Sydney.
The diversions and delays to arriving flights are expected to have some flow-on effects to the national air traffic network.
The low cloud and reduced visibility is also impacting on departing air traffic.
While weather conditions are expected to improve throughout the day, passengers are advised to contact their airline for up-to-date flight status.
Airservices National Operations Centre is monitoring the situation and working with air traffic controllers to manage the disruptions.
