Airservices invites those looking for an exciting career in aviation to explore Airservices diverse career opportunities at the Aviation Careers Expo in Brisbane on 22 August 2015.
From the rewarding world of air traffic control to the physical demands of aviation rescue fire fighting, Airservices encourages anyone looking for a fulfilling aviation career to visit our exhibition stand and talk with staff about how to get involved.
Aviation Australia, which coordinates the expo, are the largest initial maintenance engineering and flight attendant training provider in the Southern Hemisphere.
Now in its 15th consecutive year, The Aviation Careers Expo offers aspiring aviation professionals the opportunity to get one step closer to their dream career by engaging with various companies from the aviation and aerospace industry.
Executive General Manager People and Culture Andrew Boyd said the Aviation Careers Expo was a good opportunity for Airservices to engage with students as they begin to look towards a career in aviation.
“Airservices is Australia’s largest employer of air traffic controllers and aviation rescue fire fighters and with forecast growth of air traffic movement in Australia to rise by 60 per cent by 2030 we are looking to employ and train the next generation of staff to help us manage that growth”, Mr Boyd said.
Located in the Aviation Australia Flight Training Facility and Technical Training Centre, Airservices staff will be on hand to talk to visitors and answer questions about their specific roles. Outside the Training Centre, attendees can also visit our ultra-large Mk8 Panther fire truck and speak with aviation rescue fire fighters.
This year, two Airservices staff members will be presenting to attendees as part of the Expo’s Seminar Program. During their sessions Airservices will provide information about the various roles available at Airservices.
“From electrical engineers and technicians to IT support teams, flight path designers and noise data analysts to legal counsel, Airservices has a range of opportunities to help kick start a career within Australia’s aviation industry”, Mr Boyd said.
The Aviation Careers Expo will be held at Boronia Road, Brisbane Airport on Saturday 22 August with gates opening from 10am—4pm.
