Airservices rolling out in support of CanTeen’s National Bandanna Day

30 Oct 2015

Airservices aviation fire fighters are supporting young people living with cancer with fundraising during National Bandanna Day.

Staff in Karratha, Launceston, Perth and Sydney are supporting National Bandanna Day – CanTeen’s biggest annual fundraiser. This is the charity’s 30th anniversary.

CanTeen is one of Airservices three staff-nominated charities. Staff fundraising is matched dollar-for-dollar. In 2015, Airservices matched more than $13 000 raised by aviation fire fighters.

Locations:

  • In Sydney aviation fire fighters will drive a MK8 fire truck to Martin Place in the CBD and sell bandannas from 7.00am – 2.00pm
  • In Perth aviation fire fighters will also drive a MK8 fire truck to the CBD and start fundraising by 7.30am and continuing until 2.00pm
  • In Launceston, aviation fire fighters will have a Mk8 fire truck on display for their fundraising at the Launceston Airport terminal throughout the day
  • At Karratha fire fighters will also be selling bandannas throughout the day at the Karratha Airport terminal. Fire station manager Ross Eiffler is one Airservices’ longest serving CanTeen volunteers.
