A watery welcome for Etihad’s daily flights to Perth

Airservices Aviation Rescue Fire Fighting (ARFF) service provided a ceremonial watery welcome for Etihad Airways at Perth Airport on 16 July when the national airline of the United Arab Emirates made it’s inaugural flight to the Western Australia capital.

After flight EY486 landed, shortly after 1pm local time, two Mk8 ultra-large fire vehicles from Perth ARFF created a ‘monitor cross’ for the A340-600 aircraft to taxi through.

Etihad flies daily between Perth and Abu Dhabi, which becomes the fourth Australian gateway, alongside Brisbane, Sydney and Melbourne, the airline now services.
